This is a new reoccuring blog i am going to try out. Basically it is where I will hit the highlights from our weekend services and not holdback on what I think. Hopefully someone can design a sweet logo for it.

So here is the the first post….

This weekend was a great weekend to cast vision. On Saturday I had the chance to share where we are going and what God is leading us to do with 25 of our small group leaders for this semester. Small groups are going to rock, Pastor Brad and his team are not holding back.

The Sunday worship services were awesome. WOW, God showed up and blew us away. The music rocked, the video was killer and the message was honest. Today I wrapped our series “The Call”, this series will go down as one the best of the 08-09 season. It was a great teaching on what God’s call is for all of us. The message was clear if we call ourselves followers of Jesus but are not following, i.e. letting Him lead us, and progressing and moving forward in our growth then we are only believing in Jesus, but not actually following Jesus.

We drilled down on Mt 16:24 and covered what it truly means to follow. It means reaching the lost, paying whatever the price to reach them and serving them.

Here are few other highlights…

* 539 people in attendance. Last week was a new record, this week another new record.

* With today’s offering, August is the highest month of giving of 2009

* 3 people made decisions for Christ

* over 60 more people signed up for small groups, pushing us close to the 300 mark with 3 weeks of sign ups still left

What an awesome day. I am so humbled to be apart of what God is doing to and to serve along side some incredible volunteers and staff. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for Crosspoint Church this fall. It’s going to be big.
